Job Purpose

The ideal candidate will ensure development, troubleshooting and smooth running of multiple cell based and biochemical assays while maintaining highest quality and integrity of data and meeting established timelines.

Job Description :
• Plan and execute biochemical and/or cellular assays (including optimization and validation), interpret results and prepare reports.
• Screening of the molecules: small and large
• Lab management for team and certain departmental activities
• Documentation, tractability of raw data, analysis and study report to ensure data integrity.
• Data analysis and report preparation
• Ensure completion of the work as per the project timelines
• Able to learn, adapt and generate reportable data with respect to protocol/technology transfer from clients.
• Must be able to anticipate the project requirement and to give regular updates, escalating any major shortfall with respect to resources and timelines.
• Understanding and demonstrating responsibility for safety of self & colleagues by following all safety protocols provided by Syngene
• Adherence to all environment, health, and safety (EHS) policies & standards at all times in the workplace
• Wearing all PPE as required.
• Adherence to all procedures related to Syngene’ s  data integrity policies
• Compliance to Syngene’ s quality standards at all times.

Candidate Profile
• MSc/MTech/MPharma in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences/Life Sciences
• Skilled in mammalian cell culture and transfections. Experience in handling primary cells (PBMC, splenocytes, cardiomyocytes, etc.)
• Advanced skills in multiple assay formats (biochemical and cellullar) - Plate based assays (Luminescence, fluorescence, FRET, FP, radiometric assays), Immunoassays (ELISA, Immunostaining), Flow cytometry, Hi-content imaging, qPCR assays, reporter gene assays, ADCC/CDC assays
• Excellent pipetting skills, Experience with automated liquid handling systems an added advantage
• Experience in Protac screening assays like HiBiT Lytic assays, Western/WES and AlphaLISA assays for ternery complex an added advantage
• Analyze and present data using excel, power point and statistical tools (Graph Pad Prism, Excel-fit)
• Willingness and flexibility to work in cross functional teams across technical domains
• Ability to plan and execute work and perform multiple activities in parallel.

Experience and good knowledge on assay QC parameters
• 6-9 years of relevant experience post qualification.
• Good oral, written communication and presentation skills to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Interacts with other members of the team in planning and timely execution of the projects
• Ability to train other scientists in various techniques and methods.
